Everything started in 1991 when I developed the software of the remote tracking operation center of SO.VE.CO. srl , an italian security firm who started a security service tracking remotely trucks with valuable assets.

The tracking device was developed “in-house” : a dedicated board + a Trimble gps + 300 baud modem + ETACS mobile phone, while the remote tracking operation center was equipped with two Macintosh II , three monitors and four 300 baud modems.

The software of the remote tracking operation center included communications, customers database, alarms handling, log files  and georeferenced raster maps.

In the following years I realized different remote tracking solutions based on smartphones, web and personal computers supporting different brands of tracking devices ( sms and gprs ).

TrackFinder developed in the 2005 has been a successful software application for personal remote tracking. Written for Palm treo smartphone  family has been commercialized through selected and professional resellers above all in nord Europe. TrackFinder has been successfully used for valuable asset tracking, for personal security and for investigation.

 

After the Treo dismission I have developed personal remote tracking solutions for the Android platform and the web.
